Cetokhilasutta 01. While the five fallows of his heart (cetokhilā) are left untilled – doubts about the Teacher, about the Dhamma, about the Saṅgha and the course of training, lack of ardour – and the five bondages are unshattered (attachment to sensual pleasures, to the body, to visible forms, over-eating, desire to be born among the gods) – no monk can possibly show growth and progress in the Dhamma and the Vinaya. Trong khi năm trạng thái hoang vu của tâm (cetokhilā) chưa được cày xới – những hoài nghi về Đạo Sư, về Pháp, về Tăng đoàn và về tiến trình huấn luyện, sự thiếu nhiệt tâm – và năm sự trói buộc chưa được phá vỡ (sự dính mắc vào các dục lạc, vào thân thể, vào các sắc tướng, việc ăn uống quá mức, mong muốn được sinh ra giữa các vị trời) – thì không một vị tỳ-kheo nào có thể thể hiện sự tăng trưởng và tiến bộ trong Pháp và Vinaya.
