Adinnapubbaka draft
Adinnapubbaka. A Brahmin of Sāvatthī, father of Maṭṭakuṇḍalī, so-called because he never gave anything to anyone.
When, later, Maṭṭakuṇḍalī, having been born in heaven, visits him and persuades him to take refuge with the Buddha, he invites the Buddha with his monks to a meal at his house.
At the conclusion of the meal Maṭṭakuṇḍalī appears again and Adinnapubbaka, after listening to the Buddha’s preaching, attains the First Fruit of the Path. Dhpa.i.25-30; Vv-a.322f.
Adinnapubbaka. Một Bà-la-môn ở Sāvatthī, cha của Maṭṭakuṇḍalī, được gọi như vậy vì ông chưa từng cho bất cứ ai thứ gì.
Về sau, khi Maṭṭakuṇḍalī, sau khi được sinh lên thiên giới, đến thăm ông và thuyết phục ông quy y với Đức Phật, ông thỉnh Đức Phật cùng các vị tỳ-kheo đến dùng bữa tại nhà mình.
Khi bữa ăn kết thúc, Maṭṭakuṇḍalī lại xuất hiện và Adinnapubbaka, sau khi nghe Đức Phật thuyết pháp, chứng đắc Sơ quả của Đạo. Dhpa.i.25-30; Vv-a.322f.
