Pacchimadesa, Pacchimadisā, Pacchimapassa. A province in Ceylon, probably in the west. Cv.xliv.88f.; but see Cv.Trs.i.82, n.4. In the province was the Vallipāsāṇavihāra residence of Mahā Nāgasena. Mhvṭ.552.
