Papātasutta. The Buddha once went with some monks to Paṭibhāṇakūṭa for the siesta, and a certain monk, seeing the precipice below them, asked if any precipice were deeper than that. Yes, answered the Buddha, the precipice of ignorance of the nature of dukkha. SN.v.448f.
