Sikhā Moggallāna draft

Sikhā Moggallāna. A Brahmin who once visited the Buddha, saying that he had been told by Soṇakāyana that the Buddha preached the ineffectiveness of all deeds and asking if this were true. AN.ii.232.

The Commentary explains (ANa.ii.578; cf. Moliya) that he was a Brahmin of the Moggallāna gotta and wore a large tuft (sikhā) on the crown of his head, hence his name.

Sikhā Moggallāna. Một người Bà-la-môn từng đến thăm Đức Phật, nói rằng ông đã được Soṇakāyana cho biết rằng Đức Phật thuyết giảng về sự vô hiệu của mọi hành động và hỏi liệu điều này có đúng không. AN.ii.232.

Chú giải giải thích (ANa.ii.578; cf. Moliya) rằng ông là một người Bà-la-môn thuộc gotta Moggallāna và để một búi tóc lớn (sikhā) trên đỉnh đầu, do đó có tên gọi này.
