Yamataggi untranslated

Yamataggi (Yāmataggi). A sage of old who led a good life and persuaded his followers to do likewise. He was among the originators of the Vedic hymns. Vin.i.245; DN.i.238, 239; MN.ii.169, 200; AN.iii.224, 229; iv. 61; also Ja.vi.251, where he is called Yāmataggi and is described as a king of old. Cp. Vedic Index, see Jamadagni.
