Kitava. King of Benares. His son became known in this Buddhaage as Kuṇḍinagariya Thera (Pv-a.177f; 263f). From the Petavatthu (iv.7) Kitava would appear to be the king, not of Benares but of Rājagaha (Giribbaja).
