Punnāgapupphiya Thera. An Arahant. Ninety-two kappas ago he was a hunter who, while wandering in the forest, saw a flower, which he offered on a heap of sand in the name of Tissa Buddha. Ninety-one kappas ago he was a king named Tamonuda (Ap.i.180). He is probably identical with Suhemanta Thera. Thag­a.i.212.
