Sumanadeva 01. A tree deity whose daughter, Kāḷī, was married to Dīghataphala. Because Kāḷavilaṅgiya’s (q.v.) wife, disguised as a man, brought him the news of the birth of a son to Kāḷī, he gave her the treasures which lay buried within range of the shadow of his tree. MN­a.ii.813.
