Vassasutta untranslated

Vassasutta 01. A monk asks the Buddha why it sometimes rains. It rains when the Vassavalākaka Devas wish to revel their bodies answers the Buddha. SN.iii.257.

Vassasutta 02. Just as rain, falling on mountain tops, flows into gullies, pools, great lakes and rivers and from there into the ocean, so do the virtues of the Ariyan disciple flow onwards and lead to the destruction of the āsavas. SN.v.396.

Vassasutta 03. On five things which stop rain: the fiery element raging in the upper air, the windy element, Rāhu, the indolence of the rain clouds, the wickedness of men. AN.iii.243.
