Daharasutta draft
Daharasutta. Preached at Jetavana to Pasenadi. Pasenadi hints that the Buddha is young and, as compared with other teachers, not fully enlightened. The Buddha explains to him that there are four things in the world which must not be lightly regarded on account of their youth – a noble prince, a snake, a fire, and a holy man (bhikkhu).
It was this Sutta which effected the conversion of Pasenadi. SN.i.68f.
The Northern books call it the Kumāradṛṣṭānta Sūtra (Rockhill: p.49).
Daharasutta. Được thuyết tại Jetavana cho Pasenadi. Pasenadi ám chỉ rằng Đức Phật còn trẻ và, so với các vị thầy khác, chưa giác ngộ hoàn toàn. Đức Phật giải thích cho ông rằng có bốn điều trong thế gian không được xem nhẹ vì còn trẻ: một vương tử quý tộc, một con rắn, một ngọn lửa và một bậc thánh (bhikkhu).
Chính Sutta này đã khiến Pasenadi quy y. SN.i.68f.
