Gaṅgeyyajātaka draft
Gaṅgeyyajātaka (Ja 205). Two fish, one from Gaṅgā, the other from Yamunā, once met at the confluence of the rivers and disputed as to their relative beauty. They appealed to a tortoise who was there for a decision; he said they were both beautiful, but he himself was more beautiful than either.
The story was told in reference to two monks who bragged of their good looks and quarrelled about them. They appealed to an older monk, who gave the same answer as the tortoise of the story. Ja.ii.151f.
Gaṅgeyyajātaka (Ja 205). Có lần hai con cá, một con từ Gaṅgā, con kia từ Yamunā, gặp nhau tại nơi hai sông hợp lưu và tranh cãi về vẻ đẹp của mình. Chúng nhờ một con rùa đang ở đó phân xử; con rùa nói rằng cả hai đều đẹp, nhưng chính nó còn đẹp hơn cả hai con cá.
