Kāpi. Son of Kotūhalaka and his wife Kāḷī. When his parents fled from Ajitaraṭṭha to Kosambī from fear of the plague, they, being starved, found it very difficult to carry the child. Seven times the father tried to abandon the child, but the mother prevented him. Dhpa.i.169f.
