Paṅkadhāsutta draft
Paṅkadhāsutta. When the Buddha stayed at Paṅkadhā during one of his tours and instructed the monks there, Kassapa of the Kassapagotta disapproved of his teaching, thinking that he was too scrupulous. But later, when the Buddha returned to Rājagaha, Kassapa, filled with remorse, followed him thither, and confessing his transgression, begged for forgiveness. The Buddha praised him for having made confession, and said that only those monks who were zealous in the practice of religion deserved praise, but others did not. AN.i.236f.
Paṅkadhāsutta. Khi Đức Phật dừng chân tại Paṅkadhā trong một chuyến du hành của Ngài và giảng dạy cho các tỳ-kheo ở đó, Kassapa thuộc Kassapagotta đã không tán thành giáo lý của Ngài, cho rằng Ngài quá cẩn thận. Nhưng sau đó, khi Đức Phật trở về Rājagaha, Kassapa tràn đầy hối hận, đã đi theo Ngài đến đó, thú nhận lỗi lầm của mình, và cầu xin sự tha thứ. Đức Phật đã khen ngợi ngài vì đã biết thú nhận, và nói rằng chỉ có những vị tỳ-kheo nào nhiệt thành trong việc thực hành giáo pháp mới xứng đáng được khen ngợi, còn những người khác thì không.
