Pulindā. The name given to the wild tribes of Ceylon, evidently to be identified with the present Veddas. Their ancestry is traced to Jīvahattha and Dipellā, the son and daughter of Vijaya by Kuveṇī. Mhv.vii.58; Mhvṭ.264, 266.
