Saraṇa Thera untranslated

Saraṇa Thera. A monk. He was given the name because, when he was in his mother’s womb, she was rescued from death by her virtue. She was the daughter of Sumana and Sujampatikā of Sāvatthī. Saraṇa later became an Arahant. For details see Ras.i.15f.
