Neru 01. The name of a king of India, descendant of Mahā Sammata. He was the son of Mahā Sudassana and father of Mahā Neru. Mhv.ii.5; Dpv.iii.8.

Neru 02. A mountain in Himavā. All birds settling there become golden. Ja.iii.247; c.p. Kākaneru, Mahā Neru, Sineru, Meru.
