Vanavāsī Mahā Tissa untranslated

Vanavāsī Mahā Tissa. A monk, probably distinct from Vanavāsītissa – see Vanavāsītissa. On the day that Ālindakavāsī Mahā Phussadeva Thera attained Arahant-ship, the Devas stood by him, illuminating all the forest. Mahā Tissa saw the light, and the next day asked Phussadeva the reason for it, but his question was evaded. SNa.iii.154f.
