Vetambarī 01. One of a group of Devas who visited the Buddha at Veḷuvana and spoke of their beliefs. Vetambarī spoke two verses, one condemning asceticism, and the other, which followed immediately on the first, in praise of the same (SN.i.65, 67). The Commentary says (SNa.i.100) that the second verse was inspired by Māra.

Vetambarī 01. Một trong nhóm chư thiên đã viếng thăm Đức Phật tại Veḷuvana và nói về những tín ngưỡng của họ. Vetambarī đã nói hai vần kệ, một bài lên án sự khổ hạnh, và bài kia, đi theo ngay sau bài đầu tiên, thì ca ngợi điều đó (SN.i.65, 67).
