Biḷālidāyaka Thera untranslated

Biḷālidāyaka Thera 01. An Arahant. In the time of Padumuttara Buddha he was an ascetic in the Himālaya and offered the Buddha some biḷāli-tubers. Fifty-four kappas ago he was a king called Sumekhali (Ap.i.145) (v.l. Sumelaya). He is probably identical with Kosalavihārī Thera. Thag­a.i.134f.

Biḷālidāyaka Thera 02. An Arahant. Fifty-four kappas ago he gave some bilāli-tubers to a recluse at the foot of the mountain Romasa. Ap.i.232.
