Cittaka Thera untranslated

Cittaka Thera. Son of a wealthy Brahmin of Rājagaha. He heard the Buddha preach at Veḷuvana and, having entered the Saṅgha, practised meditation in a wooded spot, ultimately achieving Arahant-ship.

In the time of Vipassī Buddha he offered him flowers in homage (Thag.22; Thaga.i.77).

He is probably identical with Tīṇikiṅkinipupphiya Thera of the Apadāna. Ap.ii.433.
