Jotivana draft
Jotivana. The name given to the Nandanavana in Anurādhapura after Mahinda had preached there, converting a large number of people (Vin-a.i.82: Mhv.xv.202). It was situated immediately before the south gate of the city (Ibid., 1, 7, 8). It was included in the boundaries of the Mahā Vihāra and, later, Mahā Sena built the Jetavanavihāra in Jotivana (Mhv.xxxvii.33).
It is said (DNa.i.131; see also Cv.xxxvii.65; lii.59) that when Mahinda preached at Jotivana there was an earthquake.
Jotivana. Tên được đặt cho Nandanavana ở Anurādhapura sau khi Mahinda đã thuyết giảng tại đó, cảm hóa một lượng lớn dân chúng (Vin-a.i.82: Mhv.xv.202). Nó nằm ngay trước cổng phía nam của thành phố (Ibid., 1, 7, 8). Nó được bao gồm trong ranh giới của Mahā Vihāra và, về sau, Mahā Sena đã xây dựng Jetavanavihāra ở Jotivana (Mhv.xxxvii.33).
