Sirīsamālaka untranslated
Sirīsamālaka. A sacred spot in Anurādhapura, where Kakusandha Buddha preached during his visit to Ceylon (Mhv.xv.84). It was to the south of the Nāgamalāka (Mhv.xv.118) and to the north of the Bodhi-tree, near the Silāsobbhakaṇḍaka cetiya (Mhvṭ. 351). King Thūlatthana built a Thūpa on the spot (Mhvṭ. 355).
