Uggaha Meṇḍakanattā draft
Uggaha Meṇḍakanattā. The grandson of the banker Meṇḍaka; he lived in Bhaddiya. Once when the Buddha was staying in the Jātiyāvana at Bhaddiya, Uggaha invited him and three monks to a meal at his house. At the conclusion of the meal, he asked the Buddha to speak a few words of advice to his daughters who were about to be married. The Buddha preached to them the Uggahasutta (AN.iii.36ff).
The Commentary says that their nuptials were already in progress at the time of the Buddha’s visit (ANa.ii.597).
Cháu trai của vị trưởng giả Meṇḍaka; ông sống ở Bhaddiya. Một lần khi Đức Phật đang ở tại Jātiyāvana thuộc Bhaddiya, Uggaha đã mời ngài và ba vị tỳ-kheo đến dùng một bữa ăn tại nhà ông.
