Assapāla draft
Assapāla. The second son of King Esukārī’s chaplain. He was born in the world of men at Sakka’s request. His father had him brought up among the keepers of horses (assapālā) so that he might not wish to renounce the world. His brothers were Hatthipāla, Gopāla and Ajapāla. He followed Hatthipāla into the ascetic life and lived on the banks of the Ganges (Ja.iv.476ff). He was Sāriputta in the present age (Ja.iv.491).
Assapāla. Người con trai thứ hai của vị giáo sĩ của vua Esukārī. Ông sinh ra ở thế giới loài người theo yêu cầu của Sakka. Cha ông đã cho người nuôi dưỡng ông ở giữa những người chăn ngựa (assapālā) để ông không muốn từ bỏ thế gian. Các anh em của ông là Hatthipāla, Gopāla và Ajapāla.
