Tambapupphiya untranslated

Tambapupphiya. A Thera. Ninety-one kappas ago he had fled into the forest, having committed some crime.

There he saw the Bodhi-tree of Piyadassī Buddha, and having swept the ground around it, he scattered flowers.

Three kappas ago he was a king named Samphusita (Ap.i.176).

He is probably identical with Vanavaccha Thera. Thag­a.i.222f.
