Nidānakathā draft
Nidānakathā. The introductory chapter of the Jātaka Commentary. It gives the story of Gotama Buddha in three sections:
- the Dūrenidāna from the time of his birth, as Sumedha, up to his birth in the Tusita world;
- the Avidūrenidāna from his death in Tusita and his birth as Siddhattha, son of Suddhodana, up to his Awakening;
- and the Santikenidāna, which contains his story up to the dedication of Jetavana by Anāthapiṇḍika. Ja.i.1-94.

Chương giới thiệu của Bản chú giải Jātaka (Jātaka Commentary). Nó kể lại câu chuyện về Gotama Buddha trong ba phần:
- Dūrenidāna, từ lúc Ngài ra đời, với tư cách là Sumedha, cho đến khi Ngài sinh ra ở thế giới Tusita;
- Avidūrenidāna, từ khi Ngài qua đời ở Tusita và sinh ra với tư cách là Siddhattha, con trai của Suddhodana, cho đến lúc Ngài Giác Ngộ (Awakening);
- và Santikenidāna, phần này chứa đựng câu chuyện của Ngài cho đến lúc Anāthapiṇḍika dâng cúng Jetavana. Ja.i.1-94.
